In addition to caring for our communities at the local level, we are taking a global approach to sustainability and being responsible members of our global community. From a social and environmental perspective, each location in which VICC works has its own unique challenges. That’s why we take a local approach to meeting our goals.
Social Stewardship
Our CSR teams work to understand local requirements and identify where we can help, either in infrastructure, education, medicine or food. Once the requirement is identified, we work with the local community to help meet that need.
Environmental Stewardship
VICC requires all executives to take a foundation course in Corporate Sustainability offered by the Sustainability Academy. In addition to implementing environmental best practices at all of our worksites, we take a broader global approach to offset our carbon emissions.
Carbon Net-Zero Goals
VICC committed to becoming a net-zero carbon emissions company by 2030. Starting in 2023, VICC will purchase carbon credits to offset up to 15% of our global corporate carbon emissions. In the subsequent year, We will increase its offsets by an additional 15% until we attain our goal of a 100% carbon neutral company.
